FOR PARENTS OF TEENS WHO SELF HARM
Self injurious behaviors such as cutting, scratching, and burning are generally not done in a suicide attempt but rather to release painful emotions. For some people, when depression and anxiety become so overwhelming they engage in self harm to cope with their intense and panful emotions. If you are someone you know needs support with self harm reach out for help.
In literature, the author uses the semicolon not to end a sentence but to continue on.
You are the author and your life represents the sentence; choose to keep going.
If you or someone you know is in a suicidal crisis please contact the hotline at 888-279-8188 and see additional resources below.
